ACES North America

Providing sustainable solutions to poverty stricken areas in the Dominican Republic through Education, Health, and Entreprenurial Programs.

Who We Are

ACES North America is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. ACES believes that changed communities can change the world. The mission of ACES is to motivate and assist impoverished communities to build sustainable growth and quality of life through education programs, health and nutrition programs, and entrepreneurial programs.

What We Do

The independent nonprofit organization provides charitable resources and assistance to impoverished areas of the world (specifically the Dominican Republic, although our goal is to spread to other countries in the future) for the purpose of community development particularly in the areas of education and health.

The organizations commitments include providing development aid to poor communities for public and social needs. It provides necessary knowledge and expertise to assist development programs that the communities themselves determine essential.

Meet Our Board Members

Linell Stabler; President & Founder

“Thanks to a 2005 interest trip to the Dominican Republic, ACES North America was born. Since then, college courses, business ownership, personal tragedy, and health scares have walked alongside my growing passion for development in the DR. My undying gratitude goes to a remarkable ACES team that shares that passion.”

John Sacharok; Board member

Sydney Wade; Vice President

Ana Rosa Cassano; Board Member

“Born in the Dominican Republic myself, I feel a deep personal connection to ACES’ mission. For nearly 4 years I have been actively involved in supporting the organization’s efforts, driven by my passion for helping those who lack the resources and opportunities I have been fortunate to access.”

Michael Bower; Secretary

Luis Matos; Board member

“I am from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. I am a biology student at UASD (Autonomous University of Santo Domingo). One of my greatest goals or missions is to innovate the labor field related to biology in my country. I would like to bring both social and economic improvment to as many people as possible, all through responsible entreprenurship and interdisciplinary collaboration to address biological and enviromental challenges.

Alicia Young; Web Design & Social Media Manager

“After my sister made several service trips to the DR with Linell, she took me with her in 2014. A trip that changed my life and perspective. I now work alongside the ACES board members to provide a social media presence and a user-friendly web design. I am eager to make another trip back to the DR in the near future!”

Susan Myers; Treasurer

“I got involved with ACES after getting to know Linell. I was inspired by her selflessness and willingness to serve those in need in the Dominican Republic. After going on several service trips my life has been put in perspective. Being part of ACES has been an honor and a blessing.”

José Bourget; Board member

“I developed a relationship with ACES in 2007 as this organization was one of the main supporters of the library (Biblioteca Anacaona) my wife and I started in Las Terrenas. I also worked with ACES to start the El Taller program.”
